Kamloops Airport announces the traveler numbers for Q2 of 2022, as compared to the same period from the previous year.

Passenger numbers for Q2 reflect the continued recovery from the negative impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic as passengers take advantage increased frequencies and new services offered by WestJet and Air Canada.  Although travel  restrictions have eased, passengers are reminded that federal regulations require masks be worn during security screening, the boarding process and during their flight.

During this busy travel season, passengers are also reminded that much of the global airline industry continues to experience challenges with baggage handling and flight interruptions.  Some tips to avoid disappointment include packing light and if possible, travel only with carry-on baggage, checking your flight status for schedule changes, and monitoring flight connection times closely when booking to allow time for delays.  We also encourage all passengers to complete their check-in online to decrease  processing and wait times at the airport.
