Kamloops Airport announces the traveller numbers for Q3 of 2024, as compared to the same period from the previous year.

Although initial Q4 numbers are improving, passenger numbers for Q3 reflect the continued long-term impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic,  economic uncertainty and the potential wildfire activity during the summer months that have impacted leisure travel and slowed recovery.  Sustained industry challenges associated with flight crew availability to serve regional markets, along with the reduction in competing service to the Vancouver market are also contributing factors. 

As we head into the upcoming holiday and winter travel season, passengers are encouraged to explore the many convenient connections to popular sun destinations available from Kamloops.
