Kamloops Airport Joins Lemonade Day to Empower Young Entrepreneurs
Kamloops, B.C.; Aug 21, 2025: Kamloops Airport is proud to be designated as a Sweet Spot location, as part of the Lemonade Day program. Lemonade Day is a dynamic initiative aimed at inspiring youth to become the business leaders of tomorrow. This year, Kamloops will host more than 20 lemonade stands across the city, making it the most active community in British Columbia to join the program.

Lemonade Day is a free, hands-on learning experience that teaches children how to start, own, and operate their own business — a lemonade stand. Participants gain valuable skills in budgeting, goal setting, customer service, and community giving. Each child keeps the money they earn and is encouraged to spend some, save some, and share some.
By joining as a Sweet Spot location, Kamloops Airport has joined a growing group of local partners supporting the event through sponsorships, promotions, and generous contributions from local businesses. Community members are invited to stop by the Kamloops Airport between 09:00AM and 3:00PM on Friday, August 22, 2025, to support a young entrepreneurs stand. Other participating organizations include Community Futures, the Northshore Business Improvement Area, Home Hardware, and many more. This collective effort highlights strong community engagement and support for youth entrepreneurship.
“We’re thrilled to support Lemonade Day and help foster an entrepreneurial spirit in Kamloops-area youth,” said Jim Moroz, Managing Director, Kamloops Airport. “This initiative aligns well with our values of community engagement and future-focused development.”
“Lemonade Day is more than just kids selling lemonade – it’s about nurturing the next generation of dreamers, doers, and entrepreneurs. We are thrilled to introduce this program in Kamloops, helping youth explore their potential through hands-on learning and community engagement!” – Jennifer Brown-Binns, City Director, Lemonade Day Kamloops and Communications Manager at Community Futures Thompson Country.
