Kamloops Airport Welcomes Return of Edmonton Service by Westjet

Kamloops, B.C.; July 6, 2025: The Kamloops Airport Authority Society and Kamloops Airport Ltd. and its tourism partners today welcomed the return to Kamloops Airport (YKA) of non-stop service from Edmonton International Airport (YEG) operated by WestJet. The inaugural flight, a De Havilland Dash 8-400 (Q400) aircraft landed at approximately 6 p.m. Pacific time.

WestJet Encore will operate the route twice weekly throughout peak summer travel season as follows:

Fridays and Sundays
Arrival: 6:14 PM
Departure: 6:45 PM


“As a gateway to the City of Kamloops and the Thompson Nicola region, Kamloops Airport is very pleased to welcome back WestJet’s popular service to Edmonton,” said Jim Moroz, Managing Director, Kamloops Airport. “This route has long been a favorite for our community, and its return comes just in time for travelers to reconnect with family and friends during the summer months. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this convenient connection and help ensure the service continues well beyond the summer season.”
