Kamloops Airport is pleased to announce traveller numbers for Q3 of 2018, as compared to the same period from the previous year.

Kamloops and surrounding areas experienced a reduction in visibility and air quality in August due to wildfire smoke, though there were only three days where commercial flight operations were affected at Kamloops Airport.  Passenger numbers for the third quarter are up significantly over the same period last year, where the impact from wildfires was considerable.

Passenger numbers continue to reflect positive growth with the highest third quarter ever for Kamloops Airport, as well as the best July, August and September on record, exceeding the previous best third quarter of 2015 by 8 per cent.

The airport’s continued growth trend has been supported with the additional daily frequency on WestJet’s Kamloops to Calgary route that started May 1st, and Air Canada Rouge direct service to Toronto.
